Phoenix Empowerment Foundation

Phoenix Empowerment foundation was birthed out of a Christian Youth Community group called Jesus Rebels in 2020. A group of young people set out to make a difference in the lives of other young people and children by organising medical outreaches and support systems for those in need. Their growth and expansion demanded formal structuring and thus Phoenix Empowerment Foundation was born. Although Jesus Rebels is a christian youth group, it does not limit the expressions of Phoenix Empowerment Foundation to just christians or faith based initiatives only, as everything that pertains to the NGO is born out of love for all mankind without discrimination of race, ethnicity or religion.
At Phoenix Empowerment Foundation, we believe in the power of resilience and transformation. Founded on the principles of support, empowerment, and lasting change, our mission is to uplift individuals and communities, particularly children facing challenges, enabling them to rise above adversity and unlock their full potential.
Through a range of programs focused on education, healthcare, skill development, and community building, Phoenix Empowerment Foundation creates pathways for individuals to rebuild, grow, and thrive. We are committed to addressing pressing social issues with compassion, fostering self-sufficiency, and empowering young people to create brighter futures.
Our dedicated team and volunteers work tirelessly to make a positive impact, collaborating with local partners to ensure our efforts are both impactful and sustainable. We believe that everyone has the strength within to rise, and with the right support, can become a powerful force for change.
Join us on our mission to empower and transform lives, one step at a time. Together, we can ignite the spark of hope and resilience in those who need it most.

Our Journey Overview

Christmas Project 1.0

Lagos University Teaching Hospital

In 2020, the foundation began its support for the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), one of Lagos’s premier healthcare institutions. During this visit, the foundation provided the children in the hospital with mental sharpening gifts like books and games to keep their minds active, face masks and sanitizers to keep them safe during covid, light healthy snacks and funds to pay hospital bills. This assistance helped ensure that both staff and patients had access to essential resources, contributing to improved healthcare delivery at LUTH.

Tomaro Community Visit

Christmas Project 2.0

From 2021 to 2023, the foundation committed to supporting individual families struggling with educational expenses. By covering school fees and providing essential school supplies like uniforms, books, and stationery, the foundation ensured that children from low-income families could continue their education without financial hindrances. This initiative supported many families and empowered students to build a strong educational foundation.

This visit enabled the foundation to build upon the previous year’s support, helping the hospital address its patients' needs and enhance the comfort of the medical staff.

This year’s donations solely focused on clearing off outstanding bills and covering current bills for all the children admitted in the hospital. This ongoing partnership reinforced the foundation's dedication to bolstering healthcare in Lagos, contributing to both immediate and long-term health outcomes in the community.
